Rojasianthe superba
Giant White Sunflower Tree

For gardeners who believe bold is a perfectly reasonable starting point, Rojasianthe superba, the Giant White Sunflower Tree, is pure botanical theater. This dramatic, fast-growing plant produces towering stems topped with large white sunflower-like blooms and golden centers, creating a tropical-looking focal point with serious garden presence.

Also known as Giant White Sunflower Tree, this rare shrub is stunning in borders, protected garden spaces, collector plantings, and large-scale landscapes where height and structure are welcome. Its broad foliage and showy white flowers bring a lush, unusual look that pairs beautifully with large-leaved companions, salvias, grasses, dahlias, and other bold seasonal bloomers. Pollinators appreciate the open, daisy-like flowers, and guests will absolutely ask about it.

Plant Rojasianthe superba in full sun to part shade with rich, well-drained soil and regular water. Give it room to stretch and a protected spot in mild climates. Dramatic, unusual, and wonderfully memorable, it makes a striking garden centerpiece. Explore more bold bloomers in our Sunflower collection.
