Achillea, or yarrow, may be called “common,” but it’s a standout in the garden. These tough, long-lived perennials send up big, flat-topped clusters of tiny flowers above soft, ferny foliage—creating blankets of color and perfect landing pads for pollinators. Colors range from warm reds, oranges, and yellows to softer pinks and whites.
