Vigorous, upright plants grow about 3–4 feet tall and flower generously from summer into fall. Cut the blooms often for armfuls of richly colored bouquets; the branching plants will continue producing new flowers, while visiting butterflies add even more motion to the display.

Grow in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil, regular water, and good air circulation. Watering at the base helps keep the foliage dry, and removing spent blooms encourages a long, abundant warm-season show.
