This pretty and tough evergreen groundcover is one of the most versatile, hard-working plants going! Lovely bluish-purple, open-faced, funnel-shaped 1-2" flowers appear in late Spring and continue blooming virtually nonstop well into the Fall. Not invasive like some annual "Morning Glories", this Mediterranean sun-lover needs little water once established. Forms a low, dense, vining mat of foliage 3' across that helps with soil erosion. It can handle even the toughest soils and some shade, though it's happiest in full sun. Fits in nicely with dry garden beds and is ideal for cascading out of hanging baskets or decorative pots. Cut back in Winter to promote dense growth. Hardy to 15°F but may go deciduous in zones 8 or colder. Popular with butterflies but not with deer.
