Sowing & Growing Instructions

Start indoors or direct sow after frost once soil and nights are warm. Plant seeds 1/2 inch deep and 4–6 inches apart in ordinary garden soil, then keep warm and evenly moist while seedlings emerge.

Germination is typically 5–10 days under the source conditions. Thin or transplant to 10–12 inches apart, setting each plant several inches from a sturdy support. Minimize root disturbance when transplanting.

Water young plants consistently and guide early growth onto the trellis. Once established in full sun, the heat-loving vines climb rapidly and flower through summer into fall.
