Broad creamy-yellow leaf edges make Atlantis stonecrop look lit from within. Each small, fleshy leaf has a green center framed by a scalloped border, and the densely packed shoots build a bright patchwork close to the ground. Cooler autumn weather can bring a soft pink blush to those pale margins, extending the show well beyond the summer flowers.

Sold as Atlantis®, this selection of Sedum takesimense has the cultivar name ‘Nonsitnal’. Its low mound typically stands 4–6 inches high and spreads roughly 10–18 inches, making it easy to fit between rocks, along a sunny border, or at the edge of a succulent container. Small yellow star-shaped flowers appear in summer and attract bees and butterflies. The foliage does much of the decorative work, with its cream-and-green pattern especially effective beside darker leaves or plain gravel. Give Atlantis full sun or light partial shade and soil that drains promptly after watering. Average to lean soil suits it better than a rich, persistently damp bed. Water during establishment, then allow the soil to dry between waterings; established plants tolerate drought. USDA Zones 5–9 are a conservative range, with winter drainage especially important at the cold end. Foliage can remain evergreen in suitable conditions. Little pruning is needed beyond removing tired flower stems and tidying damaged growth.
