Easy, versatile, lime-a-licious and exceptionally long-blooming, I use this plant more than any other in my gardens because it harmonizes so well with everything! This is the old-fashioned, 3’ tall variety - not the awful modern 6” hybrid. Quick growing to a bushy 30” across, it glows with 1.5” lime chartreuse starry flowers. Long lasting cut flowers! Cut back to 6” when it’s finished, side-dress with 1” of compost and it’ll go back into bloom. It looks great with Impatiens, Lobelia & Forget-me-nots, but my fave combo is Salvia patens. Rich soil. Butterflies. Average water and good soil is all it needs. Self-sows!
