When looking for an easy-to-grow, no fuss perennial, Verbascums ("Mullein") are an excellent choice. With tall stately blooming stalks, they are not fussy about soil, are drought tolerant, deer and snail proof, and are happy growing in sun to bright shade. They are truly a "plant and forget" plant. If you cut them back, they will re-bloom fairly quickly - plus they reseed. To sum it up, they make your garden look great with absolutely no work! This rare selection makes branching spikes of a rich, dark, violet-purple, but Mullein come in a variety of other colors too. Grows to 30" tall.
