Tanacetum parthenium ‘Sunny Ball’ covers itself with round, sunny-yellow flowers that look like the centers of daisies after the petals have packed up and gone home. Held above fresh green foliage, the blooms create a crisp, cheerful texture that feels old-fashioned, playful, and surprisingly modern all at once.

Growing about 12–18 inches tall, ‘Sunny Ball’ is neat enough for the front or middle of a border and productive enough for a dedicated cutting patch. The compact flower clusters mix beautifully with blue, violet, white, burgundy, and chartreuse companions. In bouquets, their strong color and graphic shape provide the little sparks that keep softer flowers from becoming too polite.

The warm-season display continues from summer into fall, supplying color when spring performers have faded. Bees and other pollinators visit the abundant flowers, while the upright habit keeps the plant useful without taking over neighboring space. It also fits readily into sunny containers where its button blooms can be appreciated at eye level.
