Lupinus regalis
Gallery Blue

Lupinus regalis ‘Gallery Blue’ is a compact perennial lupine with rich blue flower spikes and classic cottage garden charm. Its upright spires bring bold vertical color to borders, containers, cutting gardens, and pollinator plantings without taking over the bed.

Also known as Gallery Blue Lupine, this tidy cultivar is especially useful where gardeners want lupine drama in a more manageable size. The pea-like blooms rise above handsome palmate foliage, attracting bees and adding a cool, saturated blue accent among spring and early summer companions. Pair it with poppies, geums, foxgloves, yarrow, columbines, ornamental grasses, and soft yellow or apricot blooms for a beautifully layered display.

Plant Lupinus regalis ‘Gallery Blue’ in full sun to light afternoon shade with rich, well-drained soil and regular water. Avoid soggy conditions and deadhead spent spikes to encourage a tidier plant and possible rebloom. Showy, compact, and pollinator-friendly, this blue lupine brings refined vertical sparkle to perennial gardens. Explore more dramatic spires in our Lupinus - lupine (Perennial) collection.
