Description
Flamboyant, fragrant, and wonderfully easy, Linaria reticulata ‘Flamenco’ is a long-blooming annual that brings months of sizzling color to sunny gardens and containers. Native to North Africa, this showy toadflax produces gobs of bright little snapdragon-like flowers in scarlet, fuchsia, and gold, held above soft, ferny foliage for a light, airy look with serious fiesta energy.
Growing about 12" tall and wide, ‘Flamenco’ Linaria is perfect for containers, cottage gardens, edging, pollinator plantings, and sunny borders where bold color and fine texture are welcome. The scented blooms attract butterflies, while the plant itself is drought tolerant, snail resistant, and deer resistant — a fabulous combination for low-fuss seasonal color.
Plant Linaria reticulata ‘Flamenco’ in full sun with well-drained soil. After its first big bloom show, cut plants back and they’ll rebound quickly with another vigorous flush of flowers. It may also self-sow where happy, returning with more bright little beauties for future garden fun.
