Heuchera ‘Black Taffeta’ brings dramatic color and refined texture to garden beds and containers with its large, glossy, nearly black leaves. Deeply ruffled edges give the silky foliage a beautifully tailored appearance, creating a bold contrast with green, silver, gold, or chartreuse companions.

This vigorous, clump-forming perennial grows approximately 12 inches tall and 15 inches wide, with slender flower stems reaching up to 21 inches. Airy sprays of small pink flowers appear in late spring and early summer. Hardy in USDA zones 4–9, ‘Black Taffeta’ performs best in partial shade and rich, well-drained soil with regular moisture. It can tolerate more sun in cooler climates when the soil is kept consistently moist.

Use this striking coral bells variety as an edging plant, dark foliage accent, woodland-garden specimen, or year-round container feature. Its compact mounding habit fits easily along shaded paths and at the front of mixed borders.
