      Description

Tiny, trailing, and utterly enchanting, Fuchsia procumbens is a unique creeping fuchsia from New Zealand with small rounded leaves, a low spreading habit, and delightfully odd little flowers. Instead of the usual dangling fuchsia bells, this species produces curious yellow-green blooms touched with color, followed by decorative red berries for even more charm.

Also known as Creeping Fuchsia, this low-growing perennial forms a dense mat just a few inches tall, making it perfect for hanging baskets, shaded containers, rock gardens, greenhouse collections, fairy-garden moments, and protected garden edges. Its trailing stems spill beautifully, adding texture and personality in part shade where many flowering plants are less adventurous.

Plant Fuchsia procumbens in partial shade with well-drained soil and regular moisture. Petite, unusual, and wonderfully collectible, it is a conversation piece for gardeners who love plants with character. Explore more distinctive bloomers in our Fuchsia collection.

Well, it's too early to tell about their "persistence"in terms of survival. I bought two plants with the aim to have them spread in a pot with a large ficus and in the ground under plants offering both shade and sun. Water is provided, but limited. So far, after a week, both locations look good. Hoping that their color will peek through.
