Erysimum x allionii
Siberian Wallflower

You’ll love the delicious, narcissus-like perfume that Erysimum x allionii brings to the garden. Commonly known as Siberian Wallflower, this easy, fast-blooming perennial or biennial produces clusters of brilliant orange flowers that glow in spring and brighten borders, cottage gardens, pollinator plantings, and containers.

Also known as orange wallflower, this classic garden plant is wonderfully useful for early-season color when the garden is waking up. The fragrant blooms attract bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects, while their warm color pairs beautifully with blue bachelor buttons, purple salvias, violas, poppies, grasses, and silvery foliage. Plant it in groups for a bold ribbon of orange, or tuck it among spring flowers for a cheerful cottage look.

Plant Erysimum x allionii in full sun with well-drained soil. It is easy to grow, quick to flower, and happiest with moderate water and good drainage. Deadhead to extend bloom and keep plants tidy. Explore more reliable favorites in our Perennials & Biennials collection.
