Tall, glowing, and fabulously floriferous, Digiplexis ‘Apricot’ brings foxglove drama with a warm, tropical twist. This showy hybrid, botanically classified as Digitalis × valinii, sends up elegant spires crowded with tubular flowers in apricot, peach, coral, and honeyed orange. The sunset coloring creates a luminous vertical accent without feeling stiff or formal.

Plants grow about 30–36 inches tall and spread roughly 18–24 inches, making them substantial enough for mixed borders yet manageable in large containers. The nectar-rich flowers draw hummingbirds and bees over a remarkably long season. We love ‘Apricot’ among burgundy heucheras, violet salvias, airy grasses, smoky dahlias, and deep purple foliage, where its warm tones seem to switch on the lights.

Give it full sun to part shade, rich well-drained soil, and regular water. Unlike seed-producing foxgloves, this sterile hybrid directs its energy into continued flowering; removing tired spikes helps keep the show tidy. Protect it from severe frost, particularly in colder inland gardens. Romantic, radiant, and just exotic enough to start conversations, it earns its space for months.
