Cotula lineariloba
Big Yellow Moon

Ultra-fun, tactile, and wonderfully easy to grow, Cotula lineariloba ‘Big Yellow Moon’ is a low, spreading groundcover with soft miniature ferny foliage and loads of golden button flowers. It quickly forms a dense mat about 6" tall and 2' wide, bringing playful texture to beds, borders, rock gardens, and containers.

Also known as brass buttons, ‘Big Yellow Moon’ produces prolific 1" golden dome-like blooms on short, wiry stems from spring through summer. Let it trail over the edge of a bed, creep around rocks, soften a container, or fill a quirky planting vessel where its fine foliage and cheerful flowers can be admired up close. It is evergreen in mild climates and especially useful where a low, textural filler is needed.

Plant Cotula lineariloba ‘Big Yellow Moon’ in sun to part shade with well-drained soil and regular to occasional water. After a strong bloom season, trim it back to refresh the plant and keep it tidy. Explore more low-growing treasures in our Explore more Cotula groundcovers.
