Description
Tough, long-lived, and fabulously floriferous, Alstroemeria ‘Tricolor’ is one of those Peruvian lilies that explains the entire obsession. From late spring into fall in mild climates, it produces armloads of extra-large flowers, every petal striped and spotted in pink, white, cherry, and gold like a tiny piece of extravagant textile.
This taller-stemmed selection reaches about 2–3 feet high and spreads 3–4 feet by rhizomes, forming a generous patch with far more garden presence than compact modern types. The long-lasting stems are superb for bouquets and keep coming when harvested correctly. Rather than cutting, pull flowering stems cleanly from the base to encourage fresh growth and keep the clump productive.
Give ‘Tricolor’ full sun to light shade and compost-rich, well-drained soil. Regular water during active growth produces the lushest display, although established plants are forgiving. The top growth may go dormant during cold or stressful weather, then return from the roots. It does not need to self-sow to become a satisfying fixture; the rhizomatous clump expands steadily where content. Dependable, colorful, and extraordinarily useful for cutting, it earns a permanent place. Explore more bouquet machines in our Alstroemeria collection.

Really healthy plant plants. My favorite alstromeria by far.
This is the third year for this Alstroemeria in my garden. I love it. It started blooming in May and now in late July it's still going strong, sending up new shoots . Each bloom lasts a long time.
