Description
We love the ‘Halo’ series hollyhocks for their bushy habit, simultaneous spiking talent, superior rust resistance, and perennial tendencies, and Hollyhock ‘Halo Cerise’ is especially pretty. Rosey-pink blooms with dramatic maroon centers rise on tall spikes, bringing classic cottage garden height with a fresh, refined look.
Botanically known as Alcea rosea ‘Halo Cerise’, this showy hollyhock is wonderful in sunny borders, cottage gardens, pollinator plantings, cutting gardens, and along fences or walls where its vertical color can shine. The large open flowers invite bees and other pollinators, while the bold spikes create a romantic backdrop for salvias, yarrow, foxgloves, roses, catmint, poppies, and ornamental grasses.
Plant Hollyhock ‘Halo Cerise’ in full sun with rich, well-drained soil and good air circulation. Provide regular water while establishing and deadhead spent blooms to keep the show looking fresh. Tall, cheerful, and beautifully old-fashioned without being fussy, it is a standout in our Hollyhock collection.
