This perennial African daisy lights up the garden from spring through fall with glistening violet-purple, daisy-like flowers up to 3.5" across, each one positively glowing against silvery foliage.

Compact, colorful, and tough, ‘Ultra Violet’ African Daisy is excellent for dry borders, sunny slopes, rock gardens, containers, pathway edges, and low-water landscapes. Its saturated purple flowers pair beautifully with orange, yellow, white, silver, and chartreuse companions, bringing bold contrast to water-wise plantings. Butterflies appreciate the open blooms, and gardeners appreciate the long season of color with very little fuss.

Plant Arctotis ‘Ultra Violet’ in full sun with well-drained soil. Once established, it is drought tolerant and heat tolerant, though occasional water can keep the bloom show fresher. The plant stays low—generally 6–12 inches tall—but can spread 2–3 feet, making the enormous flowers appear to float over a silver groundcover. The blooms close in dull weather and reopen in sun, a daily bit of garden theater.

Individual plants are shipped in 4" pots and we ship in boxes of 4, 6, 8, or 12 plants per box.
