A garden-friendly hybrid between Salvia clevelandii and Salvia leucophylla, this aromatic evergreen shrub brings silvery foliage, rugged good looks, and whorled lavender-blue flower spikes to dry gardens, native plantings, slopes, and pollinator borders.

Also known as Allen Chickering sage, it forms a handsome, rounded shrub with strongly fragrant leaves and a long-lasting bloom show that hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies adore. The soft gray foliage pairs beautifully with buckwheats, yarrow, California poppies, penstemons, grasses, and other water-wise companions. It is especially useful where you want structure, scent, and wildlife value without high-maintenance fuss.
