Bouncy, merry, and completely charming, Nemophila maculata ‘Baby Five Spot’ is a California native annual with masses of 1" white blooms marked by iridescent purple spots at the petal tips. The effect is fresh, playful, and wonderfully eye-catching at the front of the garden.

Also known as five spot wildflower or baby five spot, this low-growing beauty reaches about 1' tall and spreads up to 2' wide, with scalloped spring-green foliage that can be solid green or sweetly speckled. Let it bubble through neighboring plants, trail over the edge of a bed, soften oak garden plantings, or spill from large pots. It pairs beautifully with California poppies, baby blue eyes, Chinese houses, meadowfoam, and other spring wildflowers.
