Description
An almost never-ending display of velvety purple flower spikes makes Salvia ‘Mystic Spires’ a big-bang-for-the-buck sage for sunny gardens. From late spring through fall, upright 14" spikes reach skyward above handsome, heart-shaped green leaves that clothe the stems all the way to the base.
Also known as Mystic Spires Sage, this long-blooming salvia grows into a useful, bushy plant about 4' tall and 30" wide, fitting politely between neighbors while adding strong vertical color to the middle or back of the border. It is gorgeous in cottage gardens, pollinator beds, large containers, and mixed perennial plantings, where its rich purple blooms attract bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds in abundance.
Plant Salvia ‘Mystic Spires’ in full sun with rich, composty, well-drained soil for the most gorgeous growth and bloom. Cut back to about 8" tall in winter to refresh the plant for the next season. Colorful, reliable, and wonderfully floriferous, it belongs in every salvia lover’s garden. Explore more favorites in our Salvia - Sage collection.

Plant Care & Arrival Guide
Get your plants off to a strong start with our care guide.

Once established, this plant is a vigorous showstopper. It’s been in my yard for four years now. While more vibrant in the spring for the hummingbirds and other visitors, it is in bloom year round. Trimming it back to the main branches in March has worked beautifully every year.
Great service, and all plants arrived quickly, healthy and ready to become a part of our garden. I will definitely continue to do business with Annie’s Annuals!!
Annie’s has always had the highest quality plants. The packing is secure and I am very happy with the shipping times.
They came beautifully healthy, they are planted and are loving their new location! In planting one of the salvias
I accidentally broke a stem, i immediately put root powder on it, gave it a little prayer! The next day it’s standing up strong with the rest of the plants! Love love love!
Got one and it grew so well that I came back for 20. Constant flowers. Attracts bees & butterflies.
