Description
These are the big, bushy, old-fashioned marigolds that have become surprisingly hard to find. Marigold ‘Day of the Dead Orange’ grows about 3' tall and 3' wide, producing enormous, super-double rich orange blooms up to 5" across from summer through fall. Bright, bold, and gloriously festive, it brings serious flower power to sunny beds, borders, and cutting gardens.
Also known as Day of the Dead Marigold or orange African marigold, this long-stemmed variety is traditionally used in seasonal celebrations and makes superb cut flowers for arrangements, altars, and autumn displays. Its saturated orange blooms look fabulous with purple salvias, zinnias, cosmos, sunflowers, ornamental grasses, and deep burgundy foliage.
Plant Marigold ‘Day of the Dead Orange’ in full sun with rich, well-drained soil for the best show. Deadhead or cut regularly to encourage even more flowers through the warm season. Profuse, long-blooming, and impossible to miss, this marigold is pure orange celebration. Explore more cheerful annual favorites in our Marigold collection.
