A sweet and unexpected twist on an old-fashioned favorite, Calendula officinalis ‘Pink Surprise’ enchants with softly ruffled blooms in glowing shades of apricot, blush, and rosy pink, often accented by a warm golden center. Cheerful and easy to grow, this long-blooming annual lights up beds, borders, and containers with its sunny, cottage-garden charm. The flowers are also wonderful for cutting, and like other calendulas, they are beloved by pollinators and useful in the ornamental kitchen garden. Grow in full sun to light shade in reasonably fertile, well-drained soil, and enjoy its best display in the cool season or mild summer climates. Reaching about 1–2' tall, it’s a rewarding and colorful addition to almost any garden.

Its soft, sunset-toned blooms pair beautifully with blues, purples, and silvery foliage for a glowing, romantic garden palette.
