Description
Sweet, productive, and wonderfully suited to coastal gardens, Vitis ‘Emeryville Pink’ is a vigorous grape vine selected for flavorful mid-size pink fruit that sweetens beautifully even in foggy climates. Originally found by the Bay in Emeryville, this American-type grape seedling is a terrific choice for gardeners who want an attractive edible vine with generous harvest potential.
Also known as Emeryville Pink Grape, this fast-growing vine can reach 6–8' in its first year and really takes off in year two, giving you plenty of fruit to enjoy. The seeded grapes are sweet, with seeds so tiny there is little need to fuss over them. Grow it on an arbor, fence, pergola, trellis, or sturdy support where its leafy growth can provide shade, structure, and seasonal beauty.
Plant Vitis ‘Emeryville Pink’ in full sun with well-drained soil and regular water while establishing. Prune during dormancy to shape the vine and encourage production. A rare and rewarding edible climber for cool-summer gardens. Explore more delicious vines in our Grapes collection.
