Description
Bold, charming, and deliciously easy, Pelargonium ‘Veronica Contreras’ is a pansy-faced pelargonium with clusters of 2" rosy plum-purple flowers bordered in soft lilac. The blooms nearly smother the lemon-scented evergreen foliage, creating a fragrant, floriferous display that feels both refined and completely cheerful.
This low-water Pelargonium can be grown as a trailing plant or coached into a shrubbier form, making it wonderfully versatile in containers, hanging baskets, dry garden beds, mixed borders, and Mediterranean-style plantings. Left to wander, it can form a low, wide plant about 1.5' tall and 2–3' wide; kept trimmed, it develops a more compact, shrubby habit. The fragrant leaves and richly colored flowers make it a standout for up-close planting near paths and patios.
Plant Pelargonium ‘Veronica Contreras’ in sun to part shade with well-drained soil. Tolerant of low water, deer, and a bit of neglect, it is much easier than it looks. Explore more scented and showy favorites in our Pelargonium collection.

Occasional watering aside, I've basically ignored this plant since it went into the ground. And it's doing fantastic! Doesn't seem to be bothered by poor soil quality and deer leave it alone.
