Description
One of the absolute essentials for front-and-center summer color, Lobelia erinus ‘Monsoon’ is a trailing lobelia with deep cobalt-blue flowers and handsome dark foliage. This richly colored annual tumbles beautifully over the edge of planting beds, hanging baskets, pots, window boxes, and mixed containers, creating a cool waterfall of bloom just when the garden needs it.
Also known as Monsoon Lobelia, this trailing annual spreads up to 2' wide while staying about 6" tall, making it ideal for softening edges and filling in around taller container companions. The small 1/2" flowers bloom with wonderful generosity, pairing beautifully with chartreuse foliage, white alyssum, silver leaves, coral blooms, pink annuals, and other summer bedding plants.
Plant Lobelia erinus ‘Monsoon’ in sun to part shade with rich, well-drained soil and regular water for the best show. It may self-sow where happy, giving you more of that deep blue sparkle in future seasons. Explore more trailing favorites in our Lobelia collection.
