Description
Tough enough for feet, paws, and difficult garden spaces, Lippia repens is a carefree lawn substitute and low-growing groundcover for areas where traditional turf struggles. This adaptable native and near-native spreader forms a dense creeping mat only about 2" tall, making it useful for erosion control, pathways, open spaces, and low-water plantings.
Also known as frogfruit, creeping lippia, or turkey tangle fogfruit, this durable groundcover handles many soil types, including wet, dry, and clay-ish soils. Planted about 2' apart, it fills in quickly to create a low green carpet. From spring through fall, small lavender-pink flower clusters appear, attracting bees, small butterflies, and other pollinators. Shear periodically if you want fewer flowers or need to reduce bee activity in high-traffic areas.
Plant Lippia repens in full sun to part shade with occasional water while establishing. Evergreen in mild climates, it can be cut back after cold weather for a refreshed look. Explore more useful low growers in our Ground Covers collection.

I ordered 6 flowers and let me just say they were packed extremely well! The plants were also bigger than I expected. I am so satisfied with this nursery. I have ordered from many online nurseries and have been underwhelmed to say the least but I will most definitely be ordering from here again!!
Healthy and doing well.
Polite spreader, flowers are tiny but bee magnets and great comeback every spring. In Portland Or area, so tolerating our wet cold winters just fine. She’s a little tuffie!
