Developed by world-renowned breeder Dr. Keith Hammett, Lathyrus odoratus ‘April in Paris’ is famous for its intense sweet pea fragrance. This grandiflora sweet pea vine produces large, ruffled ivory-cream blossoms flushed with dark lilac at the edges, bringing perfume, romance, and soft color to spring gardens.

Strong-growing vines reach about 6–8' tall and produce an endless stream of long-stemmed blooms that practically beg to be cut for heavenly scented bouquets. Also known as April in Paris Sweet Pea, this vigorous variety is not as prone to powdery mildew and is ideal for arbors, fences, trellises, obelisks, wrought iron railings, and fragrant cottage garden plantings. Bees and hummingbirds adore it, too.

Plant Lathyrus odoratus ‘April in Paris’ in full sun to light shade with fertile, well-drained soil and regular water.
