Description
Bright, fragrant, and deliciously cheerful, Dianthus ‘Bumbleberry Pie’ is a compact carnation with brilliant 2" neon flamingo-pink flowers marked by a rich crimson eye. The blooms are held on short, strong stems, making this one of the best pinks for long-lasting cut flowers and easy front-of-border color.
Also known as Bumbleberry Pie Pinks, this cold-hardy perennial forms a dense mound of evergreen blue-green foliage to about 12" tall. From spring through fall, it produces an endless array of spicy-scented, butterfly-attracting flowers that blaze beautifully in containers, rock gardens, cottage borders, pathway edges, and sunny mixed beds. The compact habit and fragrant flowers make it especially nice where you can enjoy it up close.
Plant Dianthus ‘Bumbleberry Pie’ in full sun with well-drained soil. It is not fussy about soil type as long as drainage is good, and it needs very little summer water once established. Deadhead to prolong bloom and trim in winter to neaten. Explore more fragrant favorites in our Dianthus - Carnation collection.
