Eryngium planum ‘Blue Glitter’ is a bold sea holly with intense violet-blue flower heads and silvery branching stems that look fabulous fresh or dried. Though the blooms have a thistle-like appearance, they are wonderfully ouchless, making them one of the best dried flowers for long-lasting arrangements.

This vigorous perennial matures quickly and flowers more profusely than many varieties, producing a seemingly endless parade of egg-shaped blue blooms on stiff stems up to 32" tall. A basal clump of deeply toothed leaves stays low and tidy, while the flowers add striking structure to sunny borders, dry gardens, cutting gardens, and pollinator plantings.
