Convolvulus plants, more commonly known as Morning Glories, are a group of vines known for their showy, trumpet-shaped flowers. Morning Glory plants can be annual or perennial and can be maintained as climbing or trailing plants. The climbing varieties are perfect for covering a fence or trellis, while the trailing varieties look great spilling over the edge of a border or hanging basket. Their flowers come in shades of purple, pink, and even blue. Morning Glories are vigorous, easy to grow, and quite drought tolerant once established, but do require full sun for good bloom.
