Small but sweet! ‘Minnesota Midget’ is a productive cantaloupe of wee proportions that matures so quickly that even we fog-land folks stand a chance at getting them to sweeten up right! Each melon is around 6” in diameter, on compact & smallish vines that seldom exceed a 3’ spread. Flesh is yellow to orange & sweet to the rind. Cute factor aside, the size of the fruit makes it perfect for single servings. One half is perfect! In general, you should give melons the warmest spot you can & RICH SOIL! Resistant to fusarium wilt. Introduced in 1948 by the University of Minnesota. 60-75 days.
