One of the earliest and longest blooming "Carnations,” this sweet little groundcover produces an abundance of clove-scented, super-double, pinky-purple flowers with maroon eyes in early Spring and continues all the way into Fall! Forming a low-growing, weed-suppressing mat of ever-blue-green foliage, it stays a tidy and compact 6” tall by 1’ wide – the perfect size for front of borders, edging a path and containers (5 gal +)! Extremely drought tolerant once established. Cut back gently when flowering ends, apply 1” of compost twice a year and deadhead regularly for a healthy and outrageously floriferous plant. Fantastic cut flowers. Attracts butterflies.
