Knautia macedonica

It’s so hard to show you a good photo of this extra prolific, cherry-red “pincushion” flower because it’s always bouncing around in our bayside breeze! With an awesomely long bloom season, from May thru Fall, I consider it a staple in my demo gardens with its “pop” of unusual color along with its multi-stemmed, wiry habit, so useful for “filling in” and tying your other bloomers together. Carefree and always handsome, it self-sows and attracts muchas pollinators. Very pretty against a background of silver foliage. Winter deciduous. To 2’ tall by 3’ wide.
