Very attractive to pollinators, especially honeybees! It is often grown as a companion plant to legumes, strawberries, spinach and brassicas and is said to assist with nutrient uptake, pest control and pollination. Leaves are sometimes used as a coolant in drinks and the flowers are edible and can be used in salads or to garnish wine. Since ancient times Borage has been regarded as having a wonderful effect on mind and body. Full sun, 2-3’ tall. Any soil. Reliably reseeds itself in the garden for year after year of enjoyment.
