Easy to grow! Easy to love! A brilliant, reddish-purple bunching-type onion that will produce vivid color at any temperature. Aromatic with a zippy yet sweet flavor when cooked and sweet with an extra kick when raw. Transplant outdoors in clusters of 4 to 8 plantlets, 6" apart and rows 18" apart. This will produce plump, succulent pencil to ring finger thick onions. Want an even bigger bulb? During the growing period hill the plants with soil 2-3 times encouraging the leaves to grow higher up the plant resulting in a much larger edible portion. Excellent for spring through early summer harvest. 60 days to maturity.
