A beautiful succulent shrub from the Canary Islands with thick, contorted, sausage-like branches – neat! Forms a rounded dome 5-10’ high and wide with bare, multi-branching stems tipped with tufts of narrow, grey-green leaves. Very showy and architectural – it’s fabulous in a large container (5 gallon+ to start) and can even be kept as a houseplant. In Winter, it produces clusters of fragrant, but insignificant white flowers followed by showy flufferific white seed poofs that engulf the tips of the branches! Prefers rich soil with excellent drainage. Fertilize often – especially if grown in a container. Summer deciduous.
