Words can't describe how charming this low growing succulent is! Known as weeping jade (though not actually a jade), it forms upright, spoon-shaped green leaves that are flushed red at the tips. These stiff leaves densely clothe trailing stems, making this East African succulent one of the very best choices for a hanging pot. Over time, these sturdy branches can reach 3' long. Given some sun, the red flush can turn to a brilliant magenta. This succulent is as tough as it is attractive, needing very little water & able to adapt to outdoor sun or indoor indirect light. Though it is slow to flower, it produces fuzzy red flowers on stems that rise above the foliage. Some use this evergreen plant as a ground cover in a hot & dry location. Plant in fast-draining soil & wait until the soil is completely dry before watering. There will be no 'weeping' when you add this colorful succulent to your garden, only joy!
