This hybrid selection of “Coral Fountain”, or “Firecracker Plant” as it’s also known, is larger than the common species (4-6’ H x 6-8’ W) with a more open, airy habit. Blooms nonstop from Spring to Fall, with clusters of bright red 1.5” tubular flowers much beloved by hummingbirds held at the ends of clumps of finely textured rush-like green stems. Nearly leafless multi-branching stems and a cascading habit give this durable perennial a tropical feel, suitable for water features or spilling out of a tall decorative pot. Ideal for cascading over a low rock wall, where it adds texture and vivid color. Plant in fertile, moist soil in full to part sun. Deadhead for continuous blooming. Semi-evergreen.
