An ULTRA RARE shrub or small tree from the Canary Islands with EVERGREEN, succulent, leaves & translucent berries. This Weeping Willow-esque EXTREMELY DROUGHT TOLERANT plant can grow 10-15’ high & wide with dense clumps of fleshy leaves dangling from the tips of contorted branches. In Spring it produces small, flaring, white bell-shaped flowers. The highly decorative berries that follow are translucent - varying in color from green, to white, to rosey pink & ripening to black. A beautiful low/no maintenance tree for the habitat garden – its fruit being a great food source for birds & mammals. Great in a large (half-wine barrel sized) container. The sap of this plant can be TOXIC to varying degrees. Be sure to protect your eyes, skin & NEVER ingest.
