My favorite color of yarrow! Large 4” umbels start off a beautiful rich Salmon pink then fade to combinations of soft pinks and buttery yellows, displaying all these lovely pastel hues at the same time! But it isn’t just the artistic colors that are so unusual, ‘Salmon Beauty’ also has a spreading mat-forming habit which keeps it low and wide at about 2’x3’ – a super border shape and size. Acclimates to clay and is fast growing making it just about the most perfect specimen for that sad sidewalk strip! Also attracts butterflies and bees, provides excellent cut flowers, has fragrant evergreen foliage and blooms late Spring thru Fall. Deer and drought resistant but we think it is best grown with low water. Divide in Spring to desired width or to pass this beauty on to friends or other parts of your own garden.
