Add instant interest to your shade garden with the deep purple, heart shaped leaves of this rare “Money Plant” from the garden of the famous designer & author Rosemary Verey. Forming a pretty clump to 2’ across, it’s topped in Spring with bright violet blooms on branching stems to 3’ tall. Super easy, it self-sows forever, so you’ll have more to plant here & there as you like. Of course, everyone loves the dried seed clusters of translucent “coins” so useful in dried arrangements – these are purple! Not fussy about soil, though rich, loamy soil is best.  Can be grown in sun along the coast.
