Freesia
'Double Red Bi-Color'

10 Bulb per Bag
*Bulb size varies, Size does not affect viability*

Brilliant scarlet blooms for the Spring garden! This double blossom selection has vibrant red petals and a rich golden center. Each 18-24” tall arching stem holds a bevy of fragrant flowers, with individual blooms staying open for several days. Attractive strappy foliage reaches about 1’ high and spreads over time as it multiples year by year. Once established, the flowering season can stretch from late Winter all the way to early Summer. Freesias are super easy to grow, have a surprisingly long bloom season (especially for a bulb), and often naturalize where hardy. Bees and hummers seek out the nectar-rich flowers. An ideal cut flower with their oh-so-sweet fragrance quickly filling up the room. Plant in well-drained soil 2” deep and 3” apart. For zones 8b and higher, plant bulbs in the Fall for a Spring bloom. In colder climates, where it’s grown as an annual, plant in the Spring after last frost for a late Spring bloom.
