Ixia hybrid ‘Buttercup’
Incredibly popular with visitors, the luminous buttery yellow blooms of this EASY & carefree South African bulb brightens up any garden with practically no effort. Held aloft on 2’ graceful stems, the 1.5” berry centered blooms last a month & a half. Excellent as cut flowers, you’ll be glad how easily (but not aggressively) they multiply. Not fussy about soil & happy with only Winter moisture, they’ll go to sleep in Summer & return in Fall. Great in rock gardens, dry gardens, pots, cottage gardens & etceteras – it’s versatile! Cut back dried leaves after seeds have dropped if you want them to increase. Lift/store bulbs in colder climates. Deer resistant! Poor soil is not a problem. May ship dormant after June.
