Ixia hybrid Buttercup Ixia hybrid Buttercup

Incredibly popular with visitors, the luminous buttery yellow blooms of this EASY and carefree South African bulb brightens up any garden with practically no effort. Held aloft on 2’ graceful stems, the 1.5” berry centered blooms last a month and a half. Excellent as cut flowers, you’ll be glad how easily (but not aggressively) they multiply. Not fussy about soil and happy with only Winter moisture, they’ll go to sleep in Summer and return in Fall. Great in rock gardens, dry gardens, pots, cottage gardens and etceteras – it’s versatile! Cut back dried leaves after seeds have dropped if you want them to increase. Lift/store bulbs in colder climates. Deer resistant! Poor soil is not a problem. May ship dormant after June.
