Passiflora actinia
"Sea Anemone Passion Flower"

Passiflora actinia

Fragrant, psychedelic purple, violet and white filaments for visual eye candy and delicious, fragrant and rounded golden fruit for snacking! This is one of the best Passion Vines for growing with very little sun. Blooms to 3" appear from late Spring thru Summer. Fast growing to 15', its unusual 2" oval shaped evergreen leaves create year-round interest, too. Quite frost tolerant, gardeners report it returning from 20 F. Best in loamy, composty soil. Expect lots of Gulf Fritillaries as they only lay their eggs on Passion Vines.
