This fantastic South African bulb has orange petals with iridescent blue/green spots at the petal bases. The spots resemble iridescent South African beetles. They then act as lures to beetles who are looking for some romance and then in turn pollinate the flower. But don’t worry, you won’t have any beetle antics on your flowers since they only live in South Africa. This bulb will bloom in spring. Goes dormant in summer and should be kept dry at that time. Easy to grow in a pot so that it has good drainage and can be put away when dormant. Endangered in South Africa.
