What? Can this exciting rarely seen vine be drought tolerant? Why yes it is - as it’s native to Western Australia. Drought tolerant and vigorous! Reaching 20’-30’ kind of vigorous! Stunning as well with a profusion of very large (2”) rich coral pea-like blooms and a bright lime green blotch lined in purple. Held 3 to 5 per bunch the flowers burst out in Spring (peak) and continue throughout Summer. Sturdy and attractive trifoliate leaves are evergreen too, making a lovely backdrop for the blooms. Give it something to climb on or it can be used as a ground cover or even a crazy large hanging basket! Not fussy about soil, but it would prefer some drainage and will grow even lusher if you add some compost once a year. Tolerates moderate frost.
