An exceptionally easy, architecturally fantastic tree for a low-water, low-maintenance garden! Rarely producing leaves - the fleshy green branches give the impression of lush foliage, staying plump and green all year long. Reaches anywhere from 15-30’ tall and 6’ wide. Small yellow flowers in Spring attract loads of bees and butterflies. Small green fruits follow filled with seed beloved by birds – who also enjoy roosting in the dense branches. In its native South Africa, it is often used as a mosquito repellant. Extremely drought tolerant and resistant to deer and gophers – like all Euphorbias – the milky sap of this plant can be toxic so be sure to protect your eyes and skin when pruning and never ingest! Protect from frost. In colder zones, grow in a large pot and overwinter indoors.
