This Eucalyptus has it all - foliage, flowers, fruit & great bark! Growing to 20’ to 30’ tall, the dark brown bark peels to reveal a pale white trunk. The flowers are quite large & range from pink to red & are followed by large “gumnuts” or seed capsules. The foliage is grayish-green & hangs gracefully from pendant branches. The foliage, flowers & fruit are all used for flower arrangements. Native to Western Australia, this small tree develops a lignotuber or swollen base from which it can re-sprout after wildfires. It also means it can be pruned to the ground if it needs any rejuvenation. It is drought tolerant, since it comes from an area with dry Summers but it can also take water as long as it has good drainage. Grow in full sun. It doesn’t mind heat, but give it protection from wind because the branches tend to be brittle. Good in containers
